Glass plate negative of crowded street, Fifth Avenue and 24th Street, New York City, location of Dewey Commemorative Arch and colonnade on Madison Square. Arch not visible, but three sets of double columns in background. Sign for Siegel-Cooper Store in the background (may have been the one opened in 1896 at Sixth Avenue & 18th Street). The Meriden Britannia Co. at this time had a building at Union Square. (Silver and silver plate.) Other signs: International Silver Co. Town Tropics ? Victoria Hotel Berlitz and Co, textbooks, foreign languages. Studio for fine - Etching.
